forge of empires cant contribute to great buildings

Thank you ever so much for reading through this massive post, and thank you if you can help as well. My questions are: does the player have to be in the same age as me so I can contribute to their Great Building? And do I have to be friends with that player or do they have to be in my neighbourhood for me to contribute Forge Points?

I have fully researched Architecture in the Iron Age so I do have to ability to contribute. Whenever I click on a Great Building of any player nothing appears. This happens with all Great Buildings and has been an issue for about a week - just before Christmas. I then have to close it down and re-open the Great Building for the buttons to become live and clickable. I occasionally spend 1 or 2 in the markets in order to get more dye (which is what I need to progress).Īs such, I decided to use the Forge Points to contribute to Great Buildings however I am finding it difficult to do so. When I open a Great Building within my city to add Forge Points, the buttons to contribute are all greyed-out.

As a consequence, I have an abundance of Forge Points that are not being spent which I consider a bit of a waste. Fortunately for me it was Zeus I leveled for someone else, so they lost nothing.I am a fairly new-ish player and have become 'stuck' in a sense where I am waiting for a sufficient amount certain goods in order to have fully researched one particular technology and therefore access more technology to research. He has no great buildings and I remember when I didn't either, just wanted something in my city. In summary: I have a great building close to leveling and another that's half leveled, top contributor on both is the same guy and not sure how to politely tell him to stop adding points to them.

In addition, allow you to stop people wasting forge points on buildings that they may have to level solo if you can't be on the game for an extended period(won't stop those of you who want others to level your buildings :p).ĭetails: Simply, add a button on the contribution screen whose function is to disallow the adding of forge points to a great building by anyone other than the owner. Reason: Prevent new players who may not know how leveling a great building works from inadvertently leveling a great building.also that guy who does it to snipe a higher reward.
